This is a commonly held misconception throughout much of the jewelry industry. While 24K gold and fine silver are softer than alloyed versions, they are still perfectly suitable to be made into jewelry and worn. Chains can feature one of the following clasps: T-bar or hook. Clasps are straight or twisted to match the style of the chain.

Bracelets are yet to come to Timio, although all will have T-bar clasps for a more secure closure and wearing experience.

You should also measure your fingers, wrists, and/or neck with a non-stretchy measuring tape to check which sizes and/or lengths fit and are to your liking. Never measure tight against the skin. Give just a little room to ensure you're able to remove a piece comfortably.

We will verify the item's information on our side, and it all checks out we can update the Certificate of Authenticity. The only cost to you would be for the postage to send out the new certificate to an address you've specified.

Questions About Shipping & Ordering

We ship to residental addresses (not P.O. boxes) within the United States at present. This includes Washington D.C., Hawaii, and Alaska.

We do not ship to US Territories. Though we're actively working on expanding to ship to more locations. Click through to read the full Timio Shipping and Handling policies.

We are not responsible for any duties and/or taxes associated with orders.

All US orders are shipped via 1-5 day, tracked, insured shipping that requires a signature upon delivery. Once a package is with the postal service, you should see updates to tracking along its journey to you. The postal service may have delays in tracking updates reflecting on your tracking number, which we cannot control.

If it's been 48 hours and you have not seen any updates to your tracking, please contact us immediately at support@timio24.com. We will reach out to the postal service to locate the package, to the best of our ability.

We're overjoyed to hear that we're a part of helping you and your loved ones celebrate a special occasion! You should always check the package's contents once you've signed for and received it. The Timio package inside can be closed to appear undisturbed after you've checked that your purchase is as desired. All US orders get free shipping that includes 1-5 day delivery, tracking, insurance, and signature confirmed delivery.

We are not responsible for duties and fees charged at delivery and/or pickup of your package.

It may take up to a week, 7 days, for your order to be processed, packaged, and received by the carrier. Order processing times may be further delayed for crafted-on-demand items and around national holidays, due to order volume and carrier delivery delays.

We always recommend you place your orders at least one (1) month before a national holiday.

If ordering for a special event that is not coinciding with a national holiday, we recommend ordering 2-3 weeks before your event.

Select Timio items are available as "Crafted on Demand" to allow customers to order pieces that currently do not have ready made stock. Since the team crafts each piece manually in small batches, not all items have ready-made inventory. Yet customers can skip the wait by submitting a "Crafted on Demand" request and securing the exact style and length they want to add to their collection.

Questions About Returns

Please contact us immediately at support@timio24k.com if you need to update or cancel an order. We're committed to fast order shipment so we may not be able to update or cancel your order if you do not reach out to us right away.

A signature is required for delivery, so you can deny the delivery and it will be sent back to us so we can assist you on a case by case basis.

In order for Timio products to be eligible for a return, they must meet the following criteria:

  • Products were delivered in the last 7 days
  • Products are unaltered, in the original packaging, including their original Certificate of Authenticity

The following Timio Products cannot be returned:

  • Products custom ordered, made to your specifications, or clearly personalized
  • Goods which were altered after their delivery to you (example: hallmark tag or links missing)
  • Goods which were labeled as “Last Chance” or “Final Sale” at time of purchase

Please contact support@timio24k.com right away. We may be able to offer an exchange on a case by case basis, but one-of-one items cannot be exchanged. Only the person who purchased the gift can contact us to request a return, though the products must meet the return eligibility requirements to qualify.

Questions About Jewelry Care

If your rings have mounted stones or even a textured underside, you should still be able to use the methods outlined in our Gold and Silver Care page.

The best at-home method is to wash items with a mild dish soap in a bowl of warm water, using a soft bristle toothbrush to gently lift away grime. Although if using a gentle toothbrush doesn't lift away the tough marks, you can submit a Cleaning Request to us for a cleaning estimate. We also recommend you visit a trusted, local jeweler to have it professionally cleaned.

Do not use an ultrasonic cleaner for any jewelry that includes at-risk gemstones (heavily included or fractured), pieces with inlay accents, intricate filigree, pieces with cameos, foil backed stones (common with "costume" jewelry), or high risk stones listed below.

Using an ultrasonic cleaner on the following gemstones will likely damage them: amber, emeralds, fluorite, iolite, jade, kunzite, kyanite, labradorite, lapis lazuli, moonstone, opals, pearls, sunstone, tanzanite, topaz, tourmaline, turquoise, and zircon.

The safest option is to not wear those pieces until they are repaired. You can submit a Repair Request to us to get a quote and secure a place in our queue. You may also contact us via support@timio24k.com and we'll get back to you as soon as possible

We also recommend you find a trusted, local jeweler and send your pieces to repair. If the jewelry in question is a Timio 24K piece, you must make sure your local jeweler is skilled in and able to repair 24K gold or fine silver. Many jewelers do not work with 24 karat gold or fine silver.

You can do one or a combo of the following to keep your jewelry clean:

  • Wipe oils and dirt off your jewelry with a clean, 100% cotton cloth after each wear
  • Wash in a bowl of warm water with mild dish soap every 2 to 6 months, depending on wearing frequency
  • Send your jewelry in for a professional cleaning 1 or 2 times a year

Remove any rings, bracelets, necklaces, chains, earrings, and etcetera before you go to bed, exercise, washing dishes, or any other activity that could lead to denting or scratching.

Pieces stacked on top of each other can scratch each other.

Remember that pieces can be repaired or remade if necessary. Wear your pieces with joy and pride and know that should they need to be spruced up, you can always have that done.

Have each item stored in its own pouch or its own compartment in a jewelry box. Natural fiber fabrics such as 100% cotton, silk, wool, velvet (made from silk, cotton, or rayon) are best for pouches and jewelry box linings. Most natural fiber materials don’t contain harmful chemicals like their synthetic counterparts and provide some cushioning that will protect your pieces.
